PROFILE

Bros GEORGANTA Co. is one of the biggest and oldest traders and suppliers of wires and wire products in Greece. Founded in 1928, the company has established a strong position in the highly competitive Greek wire market.

The company's list of products includes a wide range of mild (low carbon) steel wires:

  • General purpose Steel Wire for wire nails, welded mesh, wire baskets, stands etc.

  • Black Annealed Wire for constructions, binding and baling

  • Galvanised Wire for chain link fencing, vineyards, hexagonal wire netting, gabions and support structures, binding, and armouring of cables.

  • Steel Wire for paper clips and
    fruit-crates

The list also includes high carbon wires:

  • Zig-Zag Spring Steel Wire

Our warehouses in Magoula of Attica, is strategically located near the national roads to South, Central and North Greece, Piraeus and Elefsina port, and can take up to 6000 tons of wires.

The major objective of our company, is to provide our customers with quality wires and wire products at competitive prices. Key to our success has been our direct and honest relation to our clients, our reliability and our efforts for continuous improvement.

PLANS & TARGETS

Bros GEORGANTA Co. is owned and operated by family with generations of experience in the field of wire. Within the list of our clients are comprised many important and old companies from the wire nail industry, wire forming industry and chain link fencing industry.

We have profoundly contributed to the prosperity and expansion of many of our clients. We consider the success as a common target with them. In this respect we always maintain a direct and personal approach to our clients, in order to be responsive to their needs and react to market trends with flexibility. Our target is to expand further in the Greek wire market and penetrate the profit-promising Balkan markets.

With our suppliers we have built stable and long-term partnerships. Several co-operative agreements have been concluded. One distinguishing such agreement has taken place since 1996 with "CAPE GATE PTY (LTD), "http://www.capegate.co.za", South Africa's largest producer of galvanised wire, which established our company as the exclusive Greek distributor for Cape Gate's products.

We are constantly enlarging the circle of our suppliers, seeking for the best quality-price types of wires, with the goal of higher revenues, profits and customer satisfaction on the ever-changing market requests.

HISTORY

Bros GEORGANTA Co. was founded in 1928 by Theodoros Georgantas. Originally the company started its activities in Patras as a big commercial store, selling wire products all around Greece and the Balkan area. After Second World War and during the building renaissance of Greece, the second generation Vassilios and Andreas Georgantas established in Patras a wire nail factory and also expanded the commercial activities of the company with the commerce of reinforcing bars, wire rod and wire for nails. A turning point for the company occurred in 1991, when the third generation Theodoros and Nikolaos Georgantas took over the management. The accumulated growth at Patras necessitated a move to a modern, new warehouse in Magoula of Attica. The circle of the company's partners and suppliers was enlarged and new types of wires were added to the company's commercial programme.
